The Requirements Working Group has a mandate to promote a successful epublishing
industry by (a) identifying, expressing and harmonizing requirements of the IDPF
membership and working groups; (b) where applicable, assign requirements to
existing working groups; (c) where necessary, propose additional working groups
to address specific issues; (d) analyze and report on the degree to which
proposed specifications meet the requirements defined by the Requirements
working group.
The scope of the Requirements
working group includes all requirements of the OeB membership that must be
considered to promote healthy epublishing ecology.
The Requirements WG maintains a
requirements database. The requirements database permits any stakeholders
to submit requirements to enable or enhance the ePublishing Ecology. A
requirement is any need, want or wish that a participant determines should be
reviewed by others to facilitate an effective and efficient ePublishing
industry.
